Preparations for the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Saudi Arabia are continuing, Moscow is also awaiting the completion of an investigation into the death of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Russia Mikhail Bogdanov said, Report informs citing RIA Novosti.
“We are waiting for the final investigation (completed - ed.). So we need to be patient and to wait,” Bogdanov said.
To the question “are preparations for Russian President's visit to Saudi Arabia underway?” the diplomat answered affirmatively.
“Yes, we have visits (they continue - ed.), our high-level inter-agency delegation paid visits. The case is sensational, but we must wait for the results of the investigation,” he said.
Earlier, the Russian president said that the United States is responsible for Khashoggi's disappearance.
