Customs Value of Imported Butter Falls by 15% – List

A total of 15,966.7 tonnes of butter worth $98.42 million was imported into Azerbaijan from foreign countries.
According to calculations by Yeniavaz.com based on published official data, the volume of butter imported during the first month of this year increased by 17.2%, or 2,341 tonnes, compared with the same period last year.
It should be noted that the average customs value of one kilogram of imported butter was $6.16 (10.48 manats). Compared with the same period last year, the average customs value of one kilogram of butter decreased by 15%, or $1.1.
Azerbaijan imported the largest amount of butter from Iran. A total of 7,327.68 tonnes of butter was brought into Azerbaijan from this country. Belarus ranked second with 2,570.16 tonnes, while New Zealand came third with 2,124.2 tonnes.
The smallest amount of butter was imported from Luxembourg. Only 10 kilograms of butter were imported from this country.

Iran – 7,327.68 tonnes (8.83 manats)
Belarus – 2,570.16 tonnes (9.55 manats)
New Zealand – 2,124.2 tonnes (12.74 manats)
Saudi Arabia – 1,067 tonnes (14.97 manats)
Ukraine – 939.74 tonnes (10.57 manats)
Finland – 742.45 tonnes (14.67 manats)
Germany – 527.73 tonnes (10.89 manats)
France – 239.47 tonnes (13.81 manats)
Belgium – 202.97 tonnes (11.19 manats)
Poland – 118.94 tonnes (10.92 manats)
Lithuania – 31.8 tonnes (13.16 manats)
Türkiye – 28.64 tonnes (19.20 manats)
Uruguay – 21.5 tonnes (11.54 manats)

For reference, although the customs value of butter imported into the country has decreased by 15% over the past year, the retail price of imported butter sold in supermarkets has increased by 1.8%. In August last year, the average retail price of one kilogram of imported butter in supermarkets was 24.11 manats, while in August this year it rose to 24.54 manats.
