The United Water Supply Service of Large Cities (formerly “Azersu” OJSC) has signed a procurement contract with Avro-Asia Construction Corporation “Evrascon” OJSC.
Yeniavaz.com reports that the contract was concluded without a tender, using the single-source procurement method.
Under the terms of the contract, Avro-Asia Construction Corporation “Evrascon” OJSC will carry out repair and restoration works to eliminate accidents that have occurred in sewerage collectors located in the administrative territories of Khatai, Nizami, Binagadi and Sabunchu districts, as well as the city of Sumgayit. In return for the works, the United Water Supply Service of Large Cities OJSC will pay AZN 5,201,558.
It should be noted that Avro-Asia Construction Corporation “Evrascon” OJSC, which has an authorized capital of AZN 377,290, was registered as a legal entity in 2003. The company, whose legal address is 8 Gurban Khalilov Street, Yasamal District, has Hamzat Ismiyev, son of Ismayil-Afandiyev, as its legal representative. Hamzat Ismiyev is the son of Ismayil Ismiyev, son of Afandi Hacimuradovich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Avro-Asia Construction Corporation “Evrascon” OJSC. Born in the Republic of Dagestan in 1955, Ismayil Ismiyev graduated from the Saratov Polytechnic Institute in 1978.
It should also be noted that previous reports stated that one of the company’s major shareholders, holding more than 12% of its shares, is Sadaya Yagub gizi Sharifova, the wife of Abid Sharifov, who served as Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan from 1995 to 2018.
