A kilogram of cucumbers sells for $1.30 in Baku, $1.20 in Tbilisi, and $1.00 in Yerevan

The high price of cucumbers has been one of the most discussed topics on social media and in the press in recent days.
Yeniavaz.com reports that, unlike previous years, cucumbers are selling at markets and bazaars at significantly higher prices this year.
For comparison, while the average retail price of a kilogram of local cucumbers in Azerbaijan was 60 kopecks in July last year, they are now selling for over 1.7 manat.
It should also be noted that, although Azerbaijan is the main cucumber producer in the South Caucasus, the price is currently higher than in Georgia and Armenia. For example, at Bravo, one of Azerbaijan's leading supermarkets, a kilogram of "Yelpanek" cucumbers currently sells for 2 manat ($1.20), while a kilogram of "Melit" cucumbers sells for 2.2 manat ($1.30).
At the well-known SAS supermarket in Armenia, a kilogram of cucumbers imported from Russia sells for $1 (370 drams), while at the well-known Goodwill supermarket in Georgia, it sells for $1.20 (3.25 lari).
