In which regions are tumors most common? - List

The total number of registered cases in Azerbaijan last year was 2,516,677.
Yeniavaz.com reports, citing official data, that 0.7%, or 17,199 of the registered cases, were neoplasms.
The highest number of tumors was registered in the Zagatala district, with 1,356 patients registered with tumors. Next came the Binagadi district (1,343), Sabail district (961), and Khatayi district (958).
Other districts with high rates include Sumgait (826), Yasamal (720), Sabunchu (669), Absheron district (600), and Surakhani district (560).
The smallest number of cases was registered in the Jabrayil and Lachin districts—in both districts, only one patient with a tumor was registered. Seven patients were registered in Khojavand, five in Khojaly, and four in Tartar.
In a number of administrative-territorial units, no cases of tumors were registered at all in 2025. These include the districts of Babek, Kangarli, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz, Naftalan, Gobustan, Ujar, Gubadli, and Zangilan.
