
Last year, the cost of one egg produced by Azerbaijani agricultural enterprises was 10.9 kopecks.
According to Yeniavaz.com, citing official data, the cost of eggs decreased by 12.1% over the past year. Thus, in 2024, the cost of one egg was 12.4 kopecks.
It should be noted that last year, the selling price of one egg was 15.5 kopecks, and the profitability was 42.6%.
For comparison, in the previous year, the selling price of one egg was 13.7 kopecks, and the profitability was 21.8%. It's also worth noting that while the retail price of one egg at markets was 15.9 kopecks in January of last year, by the end of the year—in December—it had risen by 28.9% to 20.5 kopecks.
Officially published data shows that while the cost of eggs has decreased, wholesale and retail prices have increased.
