The most expensive train tickets between Azerbaijan and neighboring countries are in Russia.
According to Yeniavaz.com, a standard train ticket from the Russian capital Moscow to Vladimir costs 1,600 rubles (38 manat).
The Moscow-Vladimir route is approximately 190 kilometers long. This translates to a cost of approximately 20 kopecks per kilometer.
Georgia ranks second on the list. A ticket for the 75-kilometer Tbilisi-Gori route costs 8.2 manat (13 lari). The cost per kilometer on this route is 10.9 kopecks.
Azerbaijan ranks third. A ticket for the 203-kilometer Baku-Kurdamir route costs 15 manat. This route costs approximately 7.4 kopecks per kilometer.
In Turkey, a ticket for the 317-kilometer Ankara-Konya route costs 16 manat (430 lira). The cost per kilometer in this direction is approximately 5 kopecks.
The lowest price was recorded in Armenia. A 126-kilometer trip on the Yerevan-Gyumru route costs 6 manat (1,300 drams). Therefore, the cost per kilometer on this route is approximately 4.8 kopecks.
