Will bread prices rise? - Official statement

Information circulating on social media and online resources that wheat and bread prices will rise and lead to shortages in Azerbaijan is false.
As reported by Yeniavaz.com, the State Agency for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control under the President of Azerbaijan made this statement in response to a request from Report.
According to the agency, it regularly monitors the flour and flour products market and continually tracks price changes for strategically important food items in the population's consumer basket.
"Citizens are advised to trust only official sources and be wary of unverified information circulated on social media," the agency's statement reads.
