
As is known, Article 89, Part 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan defines the cases in which a MP may be stripped of their mandate.
Yeniavaz.com reports that Article 89, Part 1, Clause 4 of the Constitution clearly states that a MP is stripped of their mandate if they hold a government position, are a religious figure, or are engaged in entrepreneurial, commercial, or other paid activities (except for scientific, pedagogical, and creative activities).
For your information, according to the State Tax Service, the following MPs are currently (January 28, 2026) considered active taxpayers (individual entrepreneurs):
