
As of early November of this year, the average loan interest rate in Azerbaijan was 14.07%.
According to Yeniavaz.com, citing official data, the lowest loan interest rates were recorded in Baku (12.72%), while the highest were in the Daghligh-Shirvan economic region (19.94%).
The average deposit interest rate nationwide was 5.18%. The highest deposit interest rates were observed in the Absheron-Khizni economic region (6.84%), while the lowest were in the East Zangezur economic region (4.03%).
The data shows that in all economic regions, loan interest rates are many times higher than deposit rates. The largest difference between loan and deposit interest rates was recorded in the Mil-Mugan economic region. Here, loan interest rates exceed deposit rates by 4.74 times.
The smallest difference was observed in the Absheron-Khizni economic region, where loan interest rates exceeded deposit rates by 2.42 times.
