
In the first nine months of this year, Azerbaijan exported 89,365,000 eggs, valued at $6,395,300.
According to Yeniavaz.com, citing official data, eggs were exported to five countries: the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Gambia, and Sierra Leone.
The published data shows that the average customs value of one exported egg was 7.15 cents (approximately 12.1 kopecks).
It should be noted that in the first nine months of this year, eggs from Azerbaijan were exported to foreign countries at the following prices:
United Arab Emirates – 53,815,000 eggs (10.8 kopecks);
United States – 33,499,000 eggs (average customs value of one egg – 14.4 kopecks);
Gambia – 898,600 eggs (10.4 kopecks);
Iraq – 360,000 eggs (9.9 kopecks);
Sierra Leone – 792,000 eggs (10.9 kopecks).
It should also be noted that in October of this year, the retail price of eggs in Azerbaijan was 18.2 kopecks. Compared to January, the price of eggs increased by 2.3 kopecks, or 14.5%. Thus, in January of this year, the average selling price of one egg in the markets was 15.9 kopecks.
