Azerbaijan sells natural gas to Georgia at $107, and to the population at $126

In the first nine months of this year, Azerbaijan sold 18 billion 527.8 million cubic meters of natural gas to foreign countries, worth a total of $6 billion 698.6 million.
According to Yeniavaz.com, the average customs value of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas sold to foreign countries was $361.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan sold natural gas to six countries.
The countries to which the natural gas was sold, the volumes sold, and the customs value of 1,000 cubic meters were as follows:
Italy – 7.06 billion cubic meters (US$496);
Turkey – 7.46 billion cubic meters (US$272);
Georgia – 1.73 billion cubic meters (US$107);
Bulgaria – 1.42 billion cubic meters (US$367);
Greece – 679.6 million cubic meters (US$527);
Serbia – 186.4 million cubic meters (US$557).


For reference: the annual tariff for natural gas sold to households within Azerbaijan is set at 125 manat for volumes up to 1,200 cubic meters, 220 manat for volumes from 1,200 to 2,500 cubic meters, and 300 manat for volumes over 2,500 cubic meters. As can be seen, the average selling price of natural gas to households in Azerbaijan is 215 manat (US$126).
It should also be noted that, in addition to exporting gas, Azerbaijan imported natural gas from Turkmenistan and Russia. In the first nine months of this year, Azerbaijan purchased 231 million cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan and 21.2 million cubic meters from Russia. The customs value of 1,000 cubic meters of gas purchased from this country was $152 and $185, respectively.
