Mehdiyev's bank again leads in complaints — List


In October of this year, Bank BTB OJSC became the bank with the most complaints in Azerbaijan.
According to Yeniavaz.com, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan published information on this matter.
Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC ranked second on the list of banks against which complaints were filed, and Unibank OJSC ranked third.
The bank with the fewest complaints was Pasha Bank OJSC. No complaints were received against five banks.
It should be noted that Bank BTB, the bank with the most complaints, is also the only bank in Azerbaijan operating at a loss. Based on the results of the first three quarters of this year, Bank BTB OJSC's net loss amounted to 641,000 manat.
It should be noted that Bank BTB OJSC has been operating at a loss for four years now. Thus, the bank's net loss in 2024 amounted to 839,000 manat, in 2023 – 2,779,000 manat, in 2022 – 4,975,000 manat, and in 2020 – 9,130,000 manat.
For reference, 74.99% of Bank BTB OJSC shares are owned by Nigar Ismail kizi Mehdiyeva, 19.01% by Sadig Rza Ismail oglu, and 6% by Makhmudova Tukezban Aga kizi.
Bank BTB's main shareholder, Nigar Ismail kizi Mehdiyeva, is the daughter-in-law of the former head of the Presidential Administration and former president of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Mehdiyev.
