Only 5.5% of workers in Azerbaijan receive salaries above 2,500 manat

According to the results of the first half of this year, the number of employees in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to 1,770,849 people.
According to Yeniavaz.com, the average monthly salary of employees in the country was 1,097 manat.
It should be noted that 94.5% (1.67 million) of employees received salaries of less than 2,500 manat, while 5.5% (97,600) received salaries of more than 2,500 manat. The highest average monthly wages were recorded in mining services (4,554 manat), crude oil and natural gas production (3,853 manat), central office and department activities (3,451 manat), and finance and insurance (3,092–3,059 manat).
The lowest wages were recorded in garment manufacturing (448 manat), employment (469 manat), and water disposal (499 manat).
