At the beginning of this year, 17.6% of pensioners in Azerbaijan were employed.
According to Yeniavaz.com, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population reports that the total number of pensioners in the country was 1,098,348.
193,807 (17.6%) of these pensioners are employed, while 904,541 (82.4%) are unemployed.
The total number of old-age pensioners was 705,849. Of these, 143,405 (20.3%) were employed, and 562,444 (79.7%) were unemployed.
The total number of disability pensioners was 255,458. In this category, 46,860 people (18.3%) are registered as working pensioners, and 208,598 people (81.7%) are registered as non-working pensioners.
The number of survivors is 137,041. Of these, 3,542 (2.6%) are employed, and 133,499 (97.4%) are listed as unemployed.
