Imported potatoes in the country are sold at twice the price - Figures

In the first two months of this year, 40 thousand 225.8 tons of potatoes were imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries.
Yeniavaz.com reports that the average customs value of 1 kilogram of imported potatoes was 26 cents (45 kopecks).
It should be noted that potatoes were brought to Azerbaijan from the following countries:
Russia - 13 thousand 597.9 tons (42.5 kopecks)
Iran - 20 thousand 970.9 tons (45 kopecks)
Belarus - 4 thousand 796.4 tons (53 kopecks)
Georgia - 835.6 tons (61 kopecks)
Pakistan - 24.9 tons (53 kopecks)

For information, Azerbaijan, along with potatoes purchased abroad, also sold potatoes abroad. In the first two months of this year, 555.6 tons of potatoes were exported to Russia, and 70.1 tons to Ukraine. The average customs value of 1 kilogram of potatoes sold to Russia was 52 kopecks, and the average customs value of 1 kilogram sold to Ukraine was 71 kopecks.
It should also be noted that in March of this year, the retail price of imported potatoes in Azerbaijan was 91 kopecks, and local potatoes - 99 kopecks.
