Anar Mamedov bought the KFC chain in London – Restaurants began to operate at a loss

The KFC restaurant chain operating in the British capital London, owned by Anar Mammadov, the son of former Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov, suffered heavy losses.
Yeniavaz.com
reports that B.J.R. The Foods Limited company, 75% of whose shares belong to Anar Mammadov, ended 2022 with a loss of 1 million 182 thousand 13 pounds (2.6 million manat).
For comparison, note that B.J.R. Foods Limited completed 2021 with a profit of 3 million 244 thousand 762 pounds.
In addition, the company's annual turnover fell by 7.1% from £41 million to £38 million.
It should be noted that on July 23, 2021, Anar Mammadov bought 75% of the shares of B.J.R. Foods Limited, owner of the famous KFC franchise in London.
It should also be noted that on the same day Anar Mammadov bought 75% of the shares of three more companies. These companies are Colonel Foods Limited, 1st RATE Investment (UK) Limited and Amber Restaurants Limited.
Colonel Foods Limited and Amber Restaurants Limited have not submitted their reports to the relevant authorities for more than 152 days.
These companies, 75% of the shares owned by Anar Mammadov, are currently headed by British citizens Zafar Abbasi, born in 1970, and Iqbal Sulemani, born in 1967. These individuals previously - in 2004-2010 - headed the company Zgan UK Ltd operating in London. As is known, the ZQAN holding operating in Azerbaijan belonged to Anar Mamedov. The name ZQAN comes from the initials of the former minister himself and his family members.
It should be noted that KFC restaurants operating in Baku were once associated with the ZQAN holding owned by Anar Mamedov. In 2013, the ZQAN holding changed its name to the “Garant” holding. In 2017, after the removal of Ziya Mamedov from the post of minister, KFC restaurants were temporarily included in the Gilan holding, which was headed by the sons of the Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaleddin Heydarov.
