A lawsuit has been filed against one of the country's leading transport companies, Mover LLC, and its director, Arif Shamistanli.
Yeniavaz.com reports that Pasha Bank OJSC filed a lawsuit against Mover LLC and Arif Shamistanli.
The case was referred to the judge of the Baku Commercial Court, Ulkar Hasanova. It is reported that the lawsuit is related to disputes over a loan agreement.
For information, some time ago the State Service for Antimonopoly Regulation and Supervision of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy reviewed numerous consumer complaints about offenses committed by Mover LLC, which provides transport services from foreign countries, and during the investigation of the complaints, preliminary evidence was discovered consumer fraud and the collected materials were transferred to the Prosecutor General's Office for legal assessment.
After this, the head of Mover LLC, Arif Shamistanli, addressed to the Minister of Economy, Mikail Jabbarov. He reported that the company was on the verge of bankruptcy and explained the reason as follows:
“The Silk Way company and the State Customs Committee began to put pressure on us to promote their company. They drove us out of the market. Mover carried 30 percent of traffic in 2020, 10 percent in 2021 and 3 percent in 2022. In 2023, “Mover” was already brought to a state of bankruptcy.”
A. Shamistanli said that “Silk Way” is the main company creating difficulties in this process.
