Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Taleh Kazimov has appointed a new adviser.
Yeniavaz.com reports with reference to the CBA, Shahin Mahmudzade has been appointed as an adviser to the chairman.
Sh. Mahmudzade was born in Baku in 1992.
In 2015, he graduated from Ankara University with a bachelor's degree in finance, and in 2016 he received a master's degree from Sabancı University. In 2013, within the framework of the Erasmus program, he studied for 1 year at KU Leuven University in Belgium with a degree in Economics and Management, and also received a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certificate.
31-year-old Sh. Mahmudzadeh started his career in 2016 at the Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
In 2018, he worked as the chief specialist of the Credit Market and Liquidity Risk Management Department of the Risk Management Department of "Pasha Həyat Sığorta" OJSC. In 2020, he worked as the Head of the Credit Market and Liquidity Risk Management Department of the Risk Management Department, and since 2021, he has worked as the Director of the Risk Management Department.
It should be noted that "Pasha Sığorta" OJSC belongs to Pasha Holding, which is the largest company in the country in terms of assets (15.5 billion manats). "Pasha Sığorta" OJSC with an authorized capital of AZN 50 million was established in 2006.
In January-April this year, 20 insurance companies operating in the country collected a total of 467,530,000 manats of insurance premiums, more than half of which - 69 percent - were collected by "Pasha Həyat Sığorta" and "Pasha Sığorta" companies. The insurance premium collected by them amounted to 323 million manats.
