1 million people in Azerbaijan will not be able to vote

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has announced that 6 million 334 thousand 178 people have the right to vote in Azerbaijan.
Yeniavaz.com reports that there is a big difference between the number of voters announced by the CEC and the information published by the State Statistics Committee (SSC) about the population.
As you know, in Azerbaijan, citizens over 18 years of age are considered to be voters.
Information on the age groups of the population published by the CEC shows the number of people aged 0 to 19, not people in the age range 0 to 18. However, despite this, the number of people over 19 years of age exceeds the number of voters.
We present the number of population and voters in the table below:

It should be noted that the CEC did not disclose information on the age groups of the population for 2023, but it can be assumed that there will be no significant change in the difference between them.
Judging by the published data, about 1 million Azerbaijani citizens are not registered as voters. In previous years, the number of citizens not registered as voters was about 2 million.
