In the first 4 months of this year, Azerbaijan sold 6 billion 513.7 million cubic meters of natural gas to foreign countries in the amount of $5 billion 418.5 million.
Yeniavaz.com's calculation, citing published official data, shows that 1 cubic meter of exported natural gas cost $832.
For comparison, the volume of natural gas exported over the same period last year was higher, but the cost was lower. Thus, in the first 4 months of 2022, Azerbaijan sold 76 billion 233.4 million cubic meters of natural gas to foreign countries in the amount of $4 billion 178.2 million. The cost of one cubic meter of natural gas was $577.6.
It should also be noted that the share of natural gas exported in January-April last year in total exports was 35.3%, but in the first 4 months of this year it increased to 43.1%.
