Insurance companies owned by Rovnag Abdullayev's son-in-law have changed heads

There was a change in the leadership of "Meqa Sığorta" OJSC and "Meqa Həyat Sığorta" OJSC, which are the country's leading insurance companies.

It is noted that on May 8, a meeting of the board of directors of both companies was held, at which Ibrahimli Ugur Azad oglu was appointed chairman of the board of directors of "Meqa Sığorta" OJSC, and Agamaliev Emil Isbandiyar oglu was appointed chairman of "Meqa Həyat Sığorta" OJSC.
It should be noted that Ugur Ibrahimli was previously the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Meqa Həyat Sığorta" OJSC, and Emil Agamaliev was a member of the Board of Directors of "Meqa Həyat Sığorta" OJSC.
Prior to Ugur Ibrahimli, the Board of Directors of "Meqa Sığorta" OJSC was headed by Gulmaliyeva Sevinj Tofig gizi.
For information, JSC "Meqa Sığorta" was registered in 1998. The authorized capital of the OJSC is 23 million manats. JSC "Meqa Həyat Sığorta" was registered in 2019. The authorized capital of the OJSC is 11,000,000 manats. The legal address of both OJSCs is located at the address: Narimanov district, Ahmet Rajabli, house 19.
It should also be noted that one of the main shareholders (19%) of "Meqa Sığorta" OJSC is Rauf Aliyev Zeynal oglu, son-in-law (daughter's husband) of the former president of the State Oil Company (SOCAR), Deputy Minister of Economy Rovnag Abdullayev.
Rauf Aliyev, born in 1992, is currently a member of the Supervisory Board and the main shareholder of "Rabitabank" OJSC. Rauf Aliyev owns 40.6% of the bank's shares.
Abdullayev's son-in-law is also the legal representative of "Faza" housing cooperative, "Trust Holding" LLC and Black Sapphire LLC.
