Yeniavaz.com reports with reference to official data that the net profit of 25 banks operating in the country amounted to 267.9 million manats, of which 80.4 million manats went to the state bank of Azerbaijan - the International Bank.
125.8 million 915 thousand manats or 67.1% of the profit in the amount of 187.5 million manats received by other banks belongs to 2 banks associated with "Pasha Holding", one of the leading companies in the country - "Kapital Bank" and "Pasha Bank".
Over the past 3 months, "Kapital Bank" earned 83.5 million manats, and "Pasha Bank" - 42.2 million manats.
For information, 99.87% of the shares of "Kapital Bank" with an authorized capital of 265.8 million manats belong to "Pasha Holding", and 0.13% - to individuals.
57% of the shares of "Pasha Bank" with an authorized capital of 354.5 million manats belong to "Pasha Holding", 28% to "Bless" LLC, 10% to Arif Pashayev, 5% to Mir Jamal Pashayev.
Interestingly, in January-March of this year, 20 insurance companies operating in the country collected a total of 346 million 910 thousand manats of insurance premiums. More than half of the collected insurance premiums - 66.5% - were collected by "Pasha Həyat Sığorta" and "Pasha Sığorta" companies.
The insurance premium collected by "Pasha Həyat Sığorta" and "Pasha Sığorta" companies amounted to 230 million 842 thousand manats.
It should be noted that "Pasha Sığorta" OJSC belongs to "Pasha Holding", which is the largest company in the country in terms of assets (15.5 billion manats). "Pasha Sığorta" OJSC with an authorized capital of 50 million manats was established in 2006.
