Half of the loan portfolio of private banks is concentrated in the hands of 3 banks - List


As a result of the first half of this year, the loan portfolio of 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan amounted to 18 billion 86.3 million manat, Yeniavaz.com reports citing official data.
58.3% of the total loan portfolio of banks or 10 billion 538.8 million manat fell to the share of 4 banks - "International Bank of Azerbaijan" (IBA), "Kapital Bank", "Pasha Bank" and "Xalq Bank". If not counting the state-owned banks - the "International Bank of Azerbaijan" (IBA) and "Azər Türk Bank" OJSC, then half of the total loan portfolio of 24 private banks operating in the country (14 billion 358.8 million manat) - 49.4% - fell on 3 bank - "Kapital Bank", "Pasha Bank" and "Xalq Bank".
According to the results of the first half of this year, the loan portfolio of "Kapital Bank" is 3 billion 137 million manat, the loan portfolio of "Pasha Bank" is 2 billion 510.8 million manat, the loan portfolio of "Xalq Bank" is 1 billion 450.2 million manat.
It should be noted that the shareholders of the 3 largest banks in Azerbaijan in their loan portfolio were the following:
1. "Kapital Bank" - 99.87% of the shares belong to "PASHA Holding", and 0.13% - to 190 individuals.
2. "Pasha Bank" - 56.8% of the shares belong to "PASHA Holding", 28.2% - LLC "Bless", 9.99% - Arif Pashaev, 5% - Mir Jamal Pashaev.
3. "Xalq Bank" - 50% of the shares belong to "İdeal Biznes Ko" LLC, 33.85% - to "Yevro Standart" LLC, 16.5% - to "Amal İnvest Qrup" LLC.
