Clashes in Sudanese city of El Geneina kill 18: medics

Medics said on Monday that 18 people have been killed and 54 injured in clashes in the western Sudanese city of El Geneina.

The clashes between militiamen and members of the Masalit tribe began on Sunday and escalated on Monday morning throughout the city, sources said. (reuters)
