Azerbaijan Railways (AR) has started the reconstruction works of the Barda-Aghdam section of the Yevlakh-Khankendi line, AR told APA.
The total length of main railway lines which kept under the occupation of Armenia for a long time was 240,4 km. After the end of the occupation, the relevant structures of Azerbaijan Railways, like other agencies, calculate the amount of damage caused to the railways by the hated enemy. Relevant proposals are being prepared for the restoration of the railways.
"In particular, the reconstruction of the Barda-Agdam section of the Yevlakh-Khankendi line with a total length of 104 km has begun," AR said.
