Airline revenues increased 6-fold after land borders were closed — By 2.1 billion

Last year, 4 million 44.7 thousand passengers were transported by air transport in Azerbaijan.
Yeniavaz.com reports with reference to official data, 3 million 296.3 thousand passengers used international flights, 748.4 thousand passengers used domestic flights.
It should be noted that last year, passenger revenue amounted to 2 billion 99 million 1.4 thousand manats. Of this amount, 2 billion 39 million 555.8 thousand manats came from international flights, and 59 million 445.6 thousand manats from domestic flights.
For information, we note that after the closure of land borders in Azerbaijan in April 2020, the number of passengers using air transport and the revenue from it increased sharply.
